Versatile Blogger Award + 7 Fun Facts About Me

I am beyond honored to say that I have been nominated for the Versatile Blogger Award not once, but twice! I would like to say a huge thank you to BorderLass and the Casual Travelist for deeming me worthy enough for this award. The Versatile Blogger Award is sort of like a chain letter (or the Liebster Award that I previously won) in that it is given to bloggers from other bloggers and the receiving bloggers then nominate some of their favorite blogs to receive the award after them. There are also 3 rules that you must follow when you receive the award:

1) Thank the blogger who nominated you in your blog post

2) Share 7 fun facts about yourself

3) Nominate your favorite up and coming bloggers for the award

Here are 7 facts about me that you probably didn’t already know:

1) I changed my major 4 different times while in college (International Affairs –> Theatre –> German –> Mass Communications –> Marketing), but eventually graduated with a degree in Marketing.

2) I could eat Mexican food every day. Seriously. I’m craving chips & salsa already and it’s only 9am.

3) I broke my arm waterskiing when I was 14. It was an adapted waterski so I was laying down in it, but my arm came loose and I managed to flip under & broke my arm. Only me…

This is about 10 seconds before I broke my arm. Now THAT is the face of terror, ladies and gents!

4) Going along with the last fact, I’ve broken my left leg three times as well. Twice in the car from wrecks and once from falling out of my wheelchair and rolling down a hill. I’m pretty lethal.

5) Snakes are my biggest fear in the world. When I was 10 years old I held one and it managed to get in my pants and didn’t want to come out. Since then, I don’t like touching, holding, or even looking at snakes.

6) I volunteered for the Presidential Inaugural Committee during the 2009 inauguration in DC. I got to attend the Opening Ceremony and the Inauguration. Such an incredible (and cold) experience.

This was me at the Inauguration. SO COLD!!!

7) My first flight was from Atlanta to Los Angeles when I was 13 years old. I got to go to LA and be a presenter on the Teen Choice Awards thanks to the incredible Make A Wish Foundation. Click here to watch the video of me presenting.

I would like to nominate the following blogs for the Versatile Blogger Award:

1. Headed Abroad

2. The Trusted Traveller

3. Live Dream Discover

4. The World on my Necklace

5. We3Travel

6. Have You Packed the Camera?

7. Not Done Travelling

8. Freewheelin’ Through Life

Love learning more about fellow bloggers! I too could eat Mexican food everyday. It’s one of the things we have missed most being out of the US.

  • Thanks so much for the nomination Cory! I think I have found my Mexican food rival. I had it for lunch today and plan to go to a Mexican restaurant for dinner tomorrow night. My husband always jokes that I’ll turn into a corn chip if I keep eating them by the bucket load. hehe
