One of my favorite things about hosting Curb Free group trips is getting to experience the world alongside an amazing community of travelers. Over the years, we’ve explored incredible destinations together, created lifelong friendships, and proved that accessibility should never stand in the way of adventure.
We did a Curb Free Group Trip to Italy in 2025, visiting Rome and Florence, and I absolutely loved it sooo much that I knew I had to go back! Italy is one of those places that keeps calling you back, and there’s still so much of the country I want to experience. That’s why I’m beyond excited to announce our 2027 Italy Group Tour (done in collaboration with Rome and Italy Tours), where we’ll be exploring Milan, Lake Como, Bologna, Parma, and Modena together. It’ll be a completely different adventure from our first Italy trip, and I can’t wait to experience it with you!
This 10-day adventure has been carefully designed with accessibility in mind, so you can focus on making memories instead of worrying about logistics. We’ll have accessible transportation throughout the trip, stays in accessible hotels, travel on accessible high-speed trains, and enjoy guided tours of some of northern Italy’s most beautiful destinations.
To keep the experience personal and ensure everyone receives plenty of attention and support, each departure is limited to just 13 travelers. Approximately half of the spaces are intended for wheelchair users, creating a welcoming environment where accessibility is always a priority. Because of the small group size and limited number of accessible hotel rooms, I expect these tours to fill quickly.

While I’ll only be joining the June departure, every group will enjoy the same itinerary, accessible transportation, knowledgeable local guides, and outstanding local support throughout the trip.
Day 1: Welcome to Milan!
Our adventure begins in Milan, Italy’s stylish and sophisticated fashion capital.
After arriving at Milan Malpensa Airport, you’ll be greeted by our local team and transferred in wheelchair accessible vehicles to our hotel in the city center. Your hotel room will be wheelchair accessible with a smooth roll-in shower.
That evening, we’ll gather for a welcome dinner at an accessible local restaurant. It’s always one of my favorite moments of any group trip because everyone finally gets to meet in person. By the end of dinner, you’ll already feel like you’re traveling with friends.
We’ll spend the next four nights in Milan.
Day 2: Explore the Highlights of Milan
Today we’ll discover some of Milan’s most iconic sights with an accessible guided tour.
We’ll visit the magnificent Duomo di Milano, one of the largest and most impressive cathedrals in the world, before strolling through the stunning Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, a beautiful 19th-century shopping arcade filled with elegant architecture, cafés, and boutiques.
We’ll also see the legendary La Scala Theatre, one of the world’s most famous opera houses.
The highlight of the day will be visiting Leonardo da Vinci’s masterpiece, The Last Supper. Since admission is extremely limited, our tickets will already be reserved, allowing us to experience one of the world’s greatest works of art without the stress of trying to secure tickets ourselves.
Day 3: A Free Day in Milan
Today is all about exploring Milan at your own pace.
Maybe you’ll spend the day shopping in Milan’s famous fashion district, visit another museum, enjoy authentic Italian gelato, or simply relax at a sidewalk café while soaking up the city’s atmosphere.
If you’d prefer a little more structure, we’ll also be offering several optional accessible excursions (available for an additional cost):
- Shopping in Style: Explore Milan’s world-famous shopping scene with a personal shopper and a wheelchair accessible vehicle at your disposal, making it easy to visit the city’s best boutiques and shopping districts.
- Discover the Certosa di Pavia: Join a half-day excursion to the stunning Certosa di Pavia, one of Italy’s most beautiful monasteries. A private English-speaking guide and wheelchair accessible vehicle are included.
- Behind the Scenes at San Siro Stadium: Football fans won’t want to miss this half-day visit to the legendary San Siro Stadium, home to AC Milan and Inter Milan. A private English-speaking guide and wheelchair accessible vehicle are included.
Whether you decide to join one of the optional tours or simply wander Milan on your own, today is all about enjoying the city in the way that interests you most.
Day 4: Beautiful Lake Como
Today we’ll leave the city behind for one of Italy’s most breathtaking destinations: Lake Como.
Surrounded by towering mountains, elegant villas, colorful lakeside villages, and sparkling blue water, Lake Como is every bit as beautiful as you’ve imagined.
We’ll enjoy an accessible guided visit through the area with plenty of time to soak in the scenery, browse local shops, and enjoy lunch at your leisure.
Weather permitting, you’ll also have the option to take a ferry ride across the lake for even more spectacular views.
After another unforgettable day, we’ll return to Milan for our final evening.
Day 5: Off to Bologna
This morning we’ll board an accessible high-speed train bound for Bologna, one of Italy’s most underrated cities.
Known for its medieval architecture, endless covered walkways, and incredible food scene, Bologna offers a completely different side of Italy than Milan.
After checking into our accessible hotel, you’ll have some free time to settle in or begin exploring before dinner. Your hotel room will be wheelchair accessible with a smooth roll-in shower.
We’ll spend the next four nights in Bologna.
Day 6: Bologna & Local Flavors
Today we’ll discover why Bologna is often called Italy’s food capital.
Our accessible guided tour will introduce us to the city’s beautiful historic center, including Piazza Maggiore, Neptune Fountain, Basilica of San Petronio, and the famous medieval towers.
Then it’s time to eat!
We’ll head to the historic Mercato di Mezzo, where we’ll sample several delicious local specialties that have made this region famous around the world.
Day 7: Parma & Modena Food Adventure
If you’re a foodie, today might become your favorite day of the trip.
We’ll venture into Italy’s famous Emilia-Romagna region, where some of the country’s most beloved foods originate.
In Parma, we’ll visit a producer of authentic Parmigiano Reggiano, learning how it’s made before enjoying a tasting paired with local wines and cured meats.
Then we’ll continue to Modena, home of traditional balsamic vinegar. We’ll visit a local producer, discover the centuries-old aging process, and enjoy tastings of this incredible delicacy.
A delicious lunch featuring regional favorites is also included today.

Day 8: Another Day to Explore Bologna
Today is yours to enjoy however you’d like.
You could spend the day wandering beneath Bologna’s famous porticoes, shopping for Italian souvenirs, visiting museums, lingering over a long lunch, or simply enjoying another bowl of fresh pasta or gelato at a local café.
If you’d like to continue exploring with a guide, we’ll also offer a couple of optional accessible excursions (available for an additional cost):
- Ferrari Museum Experience: Visit the world-famous Ferrari Museum, where you’ll learn about the history of one of Italy’s most iconic automotive brands while seeing legendary race cars and luxury vehicles up close.
- Private Italian Cooking Class: Learn how to prepare authentic Italian dishes from local chefs during a private, hands-on cooking class. It’s the perfect opportunity to bring a taste of Italy home while enjoying a delicious meal you’ve helped create.
Whether you choose one of the optional excursions or simply spend the day discovering Bologna at your own pace, this free day gives you the flexibility to experience Italy in whatever way sounds most exciting to you.
Day 9: Return to Milan
This morning we’ll travel back to Milan aboard an accessible high-speed train.
After checking into our hotel, you’ll have one final afternoon and evening in Italy to do some last-minute shopping, enjoy another incredible Italian meal, or celebrate an unforgettable trip with your new friends.
Day 10: Arrivederci, Italy!
Sadly, it’s time to head home.
After breakfast, accessible transfers will take everyone to Milan Malpensa Airport for flights home.
While our adventure may be ending, I know the memories, friendships, and experiences we’ve shared will stay with us long after we’ve returned home.

The total price is €4,950 per person, based on double occupancy.
To reserve your spot, a non-refundable deposit of €1,725 per person is required. Your reservation is not confirmed until we’ve received your deposit. The remaining balance will be due closer to the departure date.
